I love southern rap. I have a preference for Texas rap, but I love me some New Orleans style rap music. It’s so thick, slow and syrupy, with heavy bass. Cash Money used to be my shit, they were like the Wutang of the south. For a good three year time span, Cash Money couldn’t be fucked with. During their reign, everyone in the Cash Money clique dropped an album on an independent label, and those units moved like weight. Eventually their stronghold on the rap game let up, but Lil Wayne came back and took over hip hop. But before Lil Wayne, the Cash Money conglomerate all began with one Juvenile.
